Where Wings meet Spines

These three mini traffic box projects were inspired by the surrounding environment. I created designs that both stand out and complement the local landscaping and modern architecture, featuring hummingbirds commonly seen in the area. The project draws directly from the local environment, integrating colour, form, and imagery that reflect the community’s landscape and contemporary surroundings. The hummingbirds depicted are native to the region, connecting the artwork to a familiar and uplifting presence within the neighbourhood. Bold, colourful blooming beavertail cacti further anchor the designs in the local desert landscape, creating visual harmony with the surrounding environment.
