Exterior Mural

By embodying a role within the space, I aimed to create a seamless three-dimensional perspective across each side of the bathroom walls. Drawing inspiration from the high desert’s native Joshua Tree (Yucca brevifolia), I highlight and interact with the natural geometric forms already present in the architecture. On the right wall, I introduce additional shapes that echo and enhance these patterns, inviting the viewer to experience a sense of visual harmony.
Sometimes, elements align in a way that feels almost predestined—falling into place with perfect timing. That feeling is what inspired the inclusion of the roadrunner, a familiar presence near Boulder Highway. Just as the roadrunner appears suddenly and purposefully in the desert landscape, it plays a symbolic and dynamic role within this mural, grounding the surreal geometry with a touch of local life and movement.
